Bomberman exploding onto DSiWare

As if we needed any more proof that Japan’s DSiWare selection is a million times better than ours, a quiet announcement has been discovered in Famitsu that reveals a new Bomberman game coming to the downloadable platform … in Japan, of course.

Itsudemo Bomberman is due for release on DSiWare this October and should cost 500 Points. Hudson hasn’t stated whether or not the game, which can be translated to Bomberman Anytime, will reach any other territories outside of its home country, but we’ll have to wait and see.

I hope so. DSiWare is supported by some major franchise in Japan, such as Dragon Quest and Phantasy Star. In Europe and North America, we’ve barely gotten anything worth buying save for a handful of titles. I really wish more major game names would grace our DSi systems with their presence. I love the idea of DSiWare, but I want it to be so much more than a wasted little novelty.
