As Major Nelson informs us, three new Xbox LIVE Arcade games are arriving on Wednesday, all of which are priced at 800 Microsoft Points. Unusual, isn’t it? There’s The Warriors: Street Brawl, Zombie Apocalypse, and Ion Assault.
Based purely on screenshots, word of mouth, and my personal preference, Ion Assault looks to be the best of the bunch. Disclaimer: a lot of that has to do with me being extremely tired of anything that has to do with zombies outside of Dead Rising (and possibly Left 4 Dead 2) in addition to beat-’em’ups as a genre.
There have been plenty of bad shooters to end up on LIVE Arcade, so I could be completely wrong about this, but Ion Assault‘s “particles as ammo” system is interesting enough to have me looking in the first place. How about The Warriors or Zombie Apocalypse? Anyone feeling those?
