Quake Live to support Mac, Linux starting next Tuesday

Recommended Videos

As revealed at this year’s QuakeCon by id Software president Todd Hollenshead, the free-to-play, browser-based Quake Live will finally be available for non-Windows users to play.

The new Quake Live clients for Mac and Linux are scheduled to arrive on Tuesday of next week. It seems like it’s been an eternity since the game has been out for public consumption, but better late than never surely applies here.

For experienced Quake vets, it’s a great, convenient way to get into the action, and for beginners, well, just be thankful Quake Live pairs you up with players of a similar skill level. I know I am.
