Fat Princess’ online is bad, Sony says a fix is coming

Recommended Videos

I’ve been playing Fat Princess for our upcoming review, and I love it to bits. However, the numerous and time-consuming online issues, including connection failures, lag and crashes, are really dragging the game down, threatening to dramatically alter the title’s score. Fortunately, Sony is looking into the problem, with a fix allegedly on the way.

Titan Studios says that it’s “working with Sony now to get the patch into the Sony testing process as soon as possible.” Hopefully it sorts everything out, because I’m getting sick and tired of staring at endless loading screens, or worse, getting thrown right out of the game and back into the PS3’s XMB.

The issues I’m having were prevelant in the Fat Princess beta as well, so I really don’t know why things were still this bad. The game is otherwise excellent, however, and if this patch works, I’d recommend it to anybody. In the meantime, $15 for an online game full of lag and no decent single-player is hard to justify.
