The G.I Joe movie is happening whether you like it or not, and to celebrate we’ve got ourselves an Xbox 360 Arcade, as well as loads of G.I Joe themed swag to give to the dogs that bark on command for our sick and twisted amusement. What I’m trying to say is that we’ve got a contest lined up for you.
It’s a fairly simple competition, so there’s no reason for you not to enter. All you have to do is assume the role of Cobra Commander, photograph yourself as the iconic G.I Joe villain, and then post it here as proof of your deed. You can choose to portray whichever version of Cobra you want. That means you can just drape a blue towel on your head or, if you want to really impress, find a way to recreate his battle helmet. Here’s what’s up for grabs:
Grand Prize: XBOX 360 Arcade console, Copy of the game for XBOX 60, G.I. Joe Figurine, G.I. Joe Merchanise
Runner Up: G.I. Joe Figurine, G.I. Joe Merchandise
The contest is open to all, and ends on September 7, 2009. The only conditions for entry are that it’s clear the Cobra hood/helmet is home made (no using officially licensed stuff) and that somewhere you are holding a sign that has “Destructoid” written on it to prove authenticity.
