Monolith reveals pulled F.E.A.R. 2 end credits footage

Monolith was afraid the video below the fold would take the edge off F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin’s vile conclusion. The studio was right. Watching SnakeFist twist, waltz, punch, pantomime and whirl around a variety of the game’s environments probably would have killed the emotion of the “Wait … Oh, Jesus” moment.

According to Monolith’s Dan Affleck, the video was supposed to be aired during the end credits of the game. So sure the comical video would make the cut, the scenes were even motion captured. (Video proof of that is available on Monolith’s blog.) Talk about a fun day at the office.

Every game should end with a silly song and dance-off. Make it happen, developers. Even you, BioWare.
