Mario’s ‘family line’ puts the series into perspective

If you ever wanted to see the sheer scale of the Mario franchise, look no further than Limit Break‘s impressive family line, a handy chart that shows off every single Mario game ever made. The chart breaks it down to show where certain games “fathered” others, and breaks off to show where certain games within the franchise became franchises in their own right.

The chart, of course, is absolutely huge and well worth checking out, just for curiosity’s sake. I’d be really interested to see this guy do a chart for Mega Man as well … but that’s probably a project that could take a lifetime to complete.
