PC people can now make whatever level they desire in Left 4 Dead. Last month Valve handed the keys and the tools over to its devout community. That update probably won’t become available for the Xbox 360 — Microsoft’s LIVE service isn’t built to handle such a thing. But frown not, Xbox 360 crowd: Valve is planning to release another round of downloadable content for Left 4 Dead.
At a preview event Official Xbox Magazine attended for Left 4 Dead 2, Valve’s PR man confirmed new content is on its way. “The plan at the moment,” Lombardi said, “is to get at least one more update out before L4D2 comes out so we’ll be announcing more on that probably in a couple of weeks.”
Sadly, he didn’t think to apologize in advance for disgruntling the folks who believe Valve has abandoned them by creating and announcing a brand new game as well as continuing to support the thing they thought wouldn’t be supported. Whoops.
