Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising is an interesting game with a terrible name. It’s an open-world simulation-style shooter (think Far Cry 2) set on an island named Skira. The fictional paradise war zone is massive. We’re hearing that it could take players up to 20 minutes to navigate from one end to another with the help of a helicopter. And you thought hoofing it in Far Cry 2 or Grand Theft Auto was rough.

We’re getting an original Ghost Recon vibe from this game — definitely not a bad thing. If you’re a fan of simulation shooters, you may want to keep Dragon Rising on your radar. It’s due out for the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 sometime this Fall.
