Dark Void dev thinks flying is cooler than being invisible

“There’s that old question, would you rather be invisible or would you rather fly?”

That’s how Dark Void’s lead designer, Jose Perez III, kicks off this latest video developer for Airtight Studios’ upcoming title. While I don’t think anyone has ever actually asked that question, here’s your answer anyhow: You’d rather fly. Because flying is cooler, and being invisible totally sucks. Obviously.

Flying being so God damned cool that it hurts is premise behind Dark Void, whose third-person cover mechanic is based around vertical cover and flight, as detailed in this latest promo package (which appears to have been shot inside of any alien spacecraft or hangar). While Airtight and Capcom may have completely lost the buying dollars of the fanboys who love the idea of being invisible, there’s little doubt Dark Void looks damned cool.

Check it out after the jump.
