Xbox LIVE will be down Tuesday

Destructoid reminder: Xbox LIVE will be down tomorrow.

Starting Tuesday June 16 at 7:01 A.M. UTC, the service will be offline for up to twenty-four hours. This — just like the last time Microsoft purposefully pulled the plug on Xbox LIVE for an extended period of time — is to prepare the service for new integrations: Twitter, Facebook, Last.FM and the host of other stuff announced at Electronic Entertainment Expo 2009.

The bad news is you won’t be able to Tweet from your dashboard that the service is online again. However, if you can make that long walk back to your computer desk, you’ll be able to do it from there. Provided Twitter isn’t down as well.

The good news is that the transition to the aforementioned forthcoming features should be painless. After all, Microsoft did steal an entire day in order from you to do so.

What should you do while Xbox LIVE is down? We suggest checking out some PSN titles, playing Killzone 2, or revisiting some PlayStation One classics if you’re spectacularly bored. Or, you know, you could play an Xbox 360 game offline — that’s always an option, although your Achievement time stamps will be slightly off.

The choice is yours! What will you guys be doing?
