Bizarre Creation’s have finally revealed more than a name, gracing us with the first images of its upcoming racer, Blur.

Surprisingly, Blur’s singer Damon Albarn doesn’t appear in a single one of these screens. However, fast-looking cars, cloudy skies, and lots of lightning effects. What you’re seeing is the game’s power-ups in action, specifically what appears to be a huge burst of energy that can knock other cars off the road. The game mixes photo-realistic cars and environments with some over-the-top offensive and defensive attacks to spice things up a bit.

“Everything the player does, both in their cars and with their cars is a dramatic adrenaline rush,” says Bizarre’s Creative Director, Martyn Chudley.

So, Mario Kart meets Need for Speed? Sure. Why not? We’re crossing our fingers Blur is playable at E3; we’ll let you know how that works out.
