It’s been a long time coming, but Bethesda has finally announced that the Fallout 3 downloadable content Xbox 360 and PC owners have been playing for quite a while now will soon be making it to PlayStation 3.
First up is Operation: Anchorage, which will be out in late June, then there’s The Pitt and Broken Steel, which will be released 4-6 weeks apart. But that’s not all: there are also two new DLC packs planned for all three platforms.
Point Lookout brings players to a brand new swamp area, while Mothership Zeta follows up on a Fallout 3 easter egg and involves you getting abducted by aliens. Both add-ons will cost $9.99 and will be available through token cards at retail as well as through PSN and the Xbox Marketplace.
For players on an Xbox 360 or PC, Point Lookout will be out in late June, but the PlayStation 3 release won’t be until after the first three content packs are available for download. As for Mothership Zeta, it won’t be playable until late July for 360 and PC, with the PS3 version planned for sometime after Point Lookout is up on PSN.

With so many DLC packs in the works, you better believe Bethesda is going to be hitting retail hard. On May 26, Fallout 3 Game Add-on Pack #1 will make it to stores in the form of a disc containing Operation: Anchorage and The Pitt for $9.99.
Likewise, Fallout 3 Game Add-on Pack #2 will contain Broken Steel and Point Lookout (also for $9.99) and can be found in stores starting in August. Interestingly enough, these two offerings will only pertain to Xbox 360 and PC. Bethesda says “retail versions of the game add-on packs for PS3 are not possible,” so PS3 owners will only be able to grab the DLC from the PlayStation Network.
Finally, Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition is coming in October, and it’s going to be one hell of a deal. For $59.99 on both consoles and $49.99 on PC, you get the core game plus all five Fallout 3 DLC packs. Damn!
