E3 09: First two MW2 map packs to hit Xbox LIVE first

Infinity Ward’s Modern Warfare 2 just had its moment in the sun at Microsoft’s E3 press conference. We laughed and purred as we watched the game’s protagonist rock it out on a snowmobile shooting bad dudes gangster style. After the video an announcement had us making sounds — the first two Modern Warfare 2 map packs will hit “first on Xbox LIVE” according to Microsoft executive Jon Schappert.

True exclusives are so yesterday, but it’s nice to have the clarification here. PlayStation 3 and PC people will be able to download the DLC … eventually.
