Bethesda successfully prepped the Xbox 360 and PC versions of Fallout 3 for “Broken Steel” by releasing a patch yesterday. Nuclear war ravaged Washington D.C. is now updated to version 1.5.

Here are the notes, via Bethesda’s blog:

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed issue with VATS calculations not appearing properly for perks (PC)
  • Fixed crash related to altered references between master files
  • LOD objects render properly when loaded from DLC worldspaces
  • Fixed issue with companion NPCs not loading into cells immediately after player

This is stuff you probably won’t notice, but hey, it’s fixed. “Broken Steel” hits soon, as in May 5 soon. You can read more about the downloadable content — which extends the main storyline and leaves the game open ended — here.
