The Week in Rock Band DLC: Styx, REO Speedwagon, Hautewerk

Recommended Videos

Did you know that Styx and REO Speedwagon were on a “Can’t Stop Rockin'” tour this year? Yeah, I had no idea either. But that’s good news for Rock Band fans, as its prompted MTV Games and Harmonix to add a bunch of their tracks to the Rock Band Store next week.

They tracks are:

  • Styx – “Blue Collar Man (Long Nights)”
  • Styx – “Renegade”
  • Styx – “Too Much Time on My Hands”
  • REO Speedwagon – “Ridin’ the Storm Out”
  • REO Speedwagon – “Roll With the Changes”
  • REO Speedwagon – “Take It on the Run”
  • Styx/REO Speedwagon – “Can’t Stop Rockin’”

Yeah, that last track is a collaboration between Styx and REO Speedwagon. Minds are blown, to be sure. The seven-track pack will cost $10.99 (880 MS Points for Xbox 360), or you can pick up individual tracks for $1.99 (160 MS Points) apiece.

Also coming to store is a three track pack featuring songs by the prog-rock band Hautewerk. The songs are “Stop Start Again,” “Alone in My Head,” and “I Know Where You Came From.” The cost is $5.49 (440 MS Points) for the pack, or $1.99 (160 MS Points) per song.

For my 140-character-or-less reaction to this announcement, please see here. (Yes, I’m as upset as you are that “Come Sail Away” is not one of the Styx tracks included, but half of the song is piano and synth … but f**k if the last two minutes wouldn’t be incredible at the next Rock Band party.)
