Hasbro Family Game Night out on Xbox LIVE Arcade today

Today, Xbox LIVE Arcade isn’t getting one new game — it’s technically getting four. Hasbro Family Game Night is merely a game launcher so to speak. It’s a hub that allows you to play Scrabble, Connect 4, Battleship, and Yahtzee, all of which launched today and run for 800 Microsoft Points a piece.

It’s somewhat hard to make out, but if you look close enough at the image above, you’ll notice Sorry!, Boggle, and Sorry! Sliders. Those are being released “in the coming months,” so settle down there, Sherlock Jr.

All of the games under the Hasbro Family Game Night label will offer online and offline multiplayer modes, but I can’t quite figure out how Battleship is going to work on one television. Any ideas?

Anyway, I think I would be more inclined to whip out my wallet had these games been bundled together and set at a lower overall price. Regardless, I’ll be shocked if we don’t see Hasbro Family Game Night in the top ten XBLA activity list. For more specifics, go check out Conrad’s preview.
