Kojima: No plans to bring his older franchises to iPhone

When asked today whether he considered revisiting some of his older franchises, particularly on the iPhone, designer Hideo Kojima blew off the notion.

“I’m a guy who just wants to throw away his past, so I’m not thinking of doing that,” he said via a translator at a public event at San Francisco’s Apple Store today. “If you see yourself in a picture from a long time ago, you get embarrassed, right? It’s the same kind of feeling.”

In terms of working on more iPhone games — new ideas or even new IPs — Kojima is hesitant to confirm his plans. He is thinking about what to do next, even (perhaps jokingly) hinting at what’s going on in his head.

“You know that light saber [app]? I want to create something really crazy,” he says. “You know, the game where you move the boobs? I want to create something like that!”
