Attention DotA players: First gameplay footage of League of Legends is here

You haven’t forgotten about League of Legends: Clash of Fates already, have you? Here’s a quick refresh: it’s an online multiplayer game in the same vein as the Warcraft III mod Defense of the Ancients.

As a matter of fact, part of the core team who created DotA Allstars is working with Riot Games’ on League of Legends. In other words, if you enjoy playing DotA like so very many gamers continue to do today, chances are LoL will be right up your alley.

While we’re making comparisons, I cannot say I’m surprised that League of Legends looks somewhat similar to Warcraft III‘s art direction. I won’t know if that’s a good or a bad thing until I get to play the game, but what I do know is that there’s a character named “Fiddlesticks.” Dibs!
