Need for Speed: Shift goes simulation all over our asses

If you were never able to understand what all the Need for Speed fuss was about, it’s high time you started paying attention to the series. Some of you may recall that the franchise was given a major face-lift, and now we’re getting three news NFS titles.

One such game, Need for Speed: Shift, is looking to be the most in line with our interests (we are “hardcore” still, aren’t we?). Departing from the series’ traditional arcade racing feel, NFS: Shift is straight up simulation.

It’s hard to judge a racing game based on in-game screenshots when one of the genre’s biggest factors is handling and a number of other things that need to be seen in motion, but damn do I like the look of the in-cockpit camera.
