Motorhead’s Lemmy Kilmister digitized for Guitar Hero: Metallica

Motörhead’s Lemmy Kilmister has had quite the career. He’s been successful with Motörhead voice of doom. Dude’s so famous and well-known that even his mole has a MySpace page

Now, Kilmister can add being in a videogame to his resume. Activision has revealed that he’ll be appearing as a digitized and “playable” character in the upcoming Guitar Hero: Metallica. A re-recording of the Motörhead song “Ace of Spades” will appear in the game as well.

“It’s great to be in Guitar Hero with all these famous people,” he says, “and I’m really pleased to be in it with Metallica … but James [Hetfield] is still taller than me.”

While Kilmister could be referring to the “famous people” in previous Guitar Hero titles (Jimi Hendrix, Slash, and Sting among others), there’s been hints that more digitized musicians may make appearances. The theatrical rocker King Diamond has hinted that there’s be a big surprise for his fans in Guitar Hero: Metallica, which could mean he’ll be available in the game, alongside Kilmister.

The game ships soon enough — this March for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 — so it won’t be long until all is revealed.
