Look, we don’t need to do this thing here. We don’t need to tell you what Muramasa: The Demon Blade is. You’ve already heard of it and want it. We’ve been going on and on about it since 2007. It made many of our editors’ Most Anticipated of 2009 lists.

Finally, here is the official trailer from Japan. It’s…glorious. See how the sunlight twinkles between the trees. See the crazy air juggling. Look at the massive, screen-filling bosses. I don’t think 2-D sidescrolling has ever looked this good. I don’t think Wii games have ever looked this good. 

And the fights at the end of the trailer? Oh My God. Oh My God.

Marvelous Entertainment USA and XSEED Games, you told us 2009 for North America. We haven’t forgot that. Don’t keep us waiting that much longer!
