PSP version of PixelJunk Monsters to have ’50 percent more content’

Recommended Videos

PixelJunk Monsters came along at an opportune time for me: just having maxed out my character in Puzzle Quest and finished the adventure, I was feeling a little lost after having that perfect casual slot filled for so long. Searching restlessly through PSN, I found PixelJunk Monsters, played a few rounds, and fell hopelessly in love. I still play the game at least a few nights a week, and it remains my favorite PSN title.

You can imagine my delight, then, hearing that the upcoming PSP version of the game will contain new stuff. In an interview with Core Gamers, Q-Games founder Dylan Cuthbert spilled the dirt that fans can expect “50 percent or more new content” in the PSP version. That is a LOT to look forward to!

No word on when exactly we can expect this (but it will be this year). Some gamers will surely be disappointed that they may have to replay some of the game to get to new content if the PSP version is set up that way, but the idea of replaying all those levels actually sounds kind of lovely to me.
