Mirror’s Edge DLC drops January 29, will cost $10

With the release of Mirror’s Edge on the PC today, DICE and Electronic Arts have announced that downloadable content will be available for PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 on January 29.

The DLC pack will feature nine races across seven brand-new maps. The DLC pack will cost $10 for the PlayStation 3 and PC, which translates to 800 Microsoft Points for you Xbox 360 users.

NVIDIA and EA were at CES this past weekend, showing off the hot PhysX technology that’s being implemented in the PC version of Mirror’s Edge, and I was definitely impressed. PhysX allows for some pretty fancy looking visual effects, like real-time glass shattering, wind, and movement of objects in the game world. It looks like PC is going to be platform to rock Mirror’s Edge on, if you have the choice.

As for the DLC, who plans on picking it up? Are you still actively competing against others in the time trial leaderboards, or have you moved on? Will this DLC bring you back?
