Killzone 2 demo confirmed for UK, will be done ‘in the normal way’

In the US, it would seem that the only way to try Killzone 2 before you buy it is to pre-order from Gamestop and get your hands on an exclusive demo. If you’re living in the United Kingdom, however, rest assured that you will be enjoying your citrus-eyed shooting fun without having to plonk down a single quid.

The demo will be made to available to UK PSN members in February, which “will be released via the normal manner on the PSN.” No firm date has been set, but naturally one can assume it will be before the retail release. This essentially means that no pre-order will be necessary in England — it makes sense since the pre-order culture is not something that Britain has adopted as readily as America.

As for US PSN accounts, the demo will be exclusive only to those who have reserved a copy of the game. Once Killzone 2 releases on February 27, the demo will then be made available to everybody.

Kind of complete negates the whole point of a demo, but whatever. Sony isn’t known for its marketing genius.
