Kid threatens suicide in Blizzard game, representative gets him arrested

Playing online videogames, especially Blizzard ones, are a serious activity for the dedicated. As a result, we get hilarious and tragic stories. This one is a little bit of both. Game Politics (via The Middletown Journal) is reporting that a teenager recently threatened suicide to an online Blizzard representative and was arrested after the rep talked to human authorities about the incident.

The game that the teen was threatening suicide in is unknown, but a good guess would probably be Blizzard’s soul-devouring MMO, World of Warcraft. It couldn’t be StarCraft, as it is widely known that those players only type in acronyms.

According to the police report, the teen told the Blizzard rep “he was suicidal and that the game is the only thing he has to live for.” Afterwards, the kid (demoted) said to police that the comment was an attempt to “try to get what he wanted for the game.” He may not have gotten what he wanted in the game, but he did earn a rap sheet, which has a -5 modifier when used in conjunction with job interviews.
