Cliffy B parody gets stomped on by Epic and Twitter

If you’re anything like me, you enjoyed the frequent updates that came via “Cliffy B’s” Twitter, as he’d recount stories of bench pressing employees, Cliffy-Punching Mark Rein, and having topiaries of himself crafted by master artists. Some of the stuff that this fake Cliffy came out with was ludicrously funny, but according to Twitter and Epic, funny can only be permitted for so long.

The Cliffy_B Twitter is now an empty shell, while the former impostor must now continue as “Fake Cliffy.” Of course, the magic of the moment is gone now, and that’s a real shame. That said, the last proper entry probably wasn’t looked upon too kindly:

After much testing, it looks like matchmaking is permanently broken. There are new maps though, only 800 Microsoft Points!”

I can’t see Epic being happy with “Cliffy B” saying something like that. Still, it’s a real shame that it had to go since it was probably my favorite thing to see on Twitter. Now I have to put up with Nick Chester’s ten billion updates on his Rock Band progress.

While you’re checking Twitter out, be sure to add Destructoid. Oh, and have mine too. Just because I’m self-interested like that.
