The new Japanese Let’s Tap commercials are so happy

I truly love my job here at Destructoid. I thank the robot gods daily for my role here. But, wow, am I having a sh*tty morning here. Nothing is going right.

Luckily, this Japanese duo of Let’s Tap commercials and footage came along to cheer me up. As Nick told us earlier, this game of hitting a cardboard box is a lot more fun than it sounds, and we didn’t even get to try some of the newer minigames we’ve been hearing about lately.

A floating Wii Remote and a cardboard box levitate towards each other for box beating fun that even a guy in a geeky hat can appreciate. And in the second one, they’re really making hitting a box look fun.

I think Japan is having a contest based on this commercial. The goal is to guess the announcer’s voice correctly.

The video that really perked me up was the one below the jump. Aside from being packed with awesome, upbeat music, it shows off more game modes. There’s a Jenga-ish block removing game that looks like a lot of fun. The side-scrolling shooter looks like a blast, but I can’t imagine how it would be controlled accurately by hitting a cardboard box.
