Microsoft ‘frees’ your avatars, launches another thing that is silly

Recommended Videos

Microsoft has launched a new feature on its Web site called Free Your Avatar, which allows gamers to import their Avatars and then create wallpapers and other pointless images for their own sick amusement. There must be a reason they’d want to do this, but I cannot quite work it out yet.

According to Microsoft, this service “will include a host of screensavers, wallpapers and festive cards to use as backgrounds, giving people the opportunity to get creative and have fun with the avatars.” I believe this will be the first time we’ve actually HAD this opportunity to be creative and fun with the twee bastards. Not that I’d use either of those two words to really describe this glorified dress-me-up drag n’ drop chicanery.

Well, whatever, nobody’s making us use it. I just wish Microsoft would work on doing something that is actually worthwhile for these gormless little f*ckpuppets that silently haunt my 360’s friends list.
