MTV’s lifetime achievement game award goes to Hideo Kojima

After this video, this text will be redundant, but my job requires that I type something here.

Jade Raymond looks great in this video, especially her hair. Fantastic, even. Last year Nick and I saw her at the airport, obviously travel-worn, and no where near as pretty as in this video. To be fair, I also looked pretty bad. Not Nick, though. He’s always a looker.

Kojima received MTV’s first super-sized pat on the back, with the presentation citing all of the Metal Gear games, calling him the source of the stealth action genre. They also called him the “king of the cutscene.” Later, Raymond drops a vintage spoiler on the audience. No need to plug your ears, though, as you’ve already played that game.

Kojima-kun takes the stage. He’s a great dresser. He says that even though he received this award, he “will not retire.”

“I will continue to create games as long as I live,” Kojima adds.

Thank you, Kojima. And although Raymond didn’t say it, thanks for Snatcher. What an amazing videogame.
