The Last Remnant launch trailer focuses on caucasian blondes

Back when The Last Remnant was new and mysterious, there was a lot of talk about how the game was developed with universal appeal. There was your typical Japanese RPG-looking hero, but there was also muscular gruff badasses to appeal to the meatheaded Americans. Silly, huh?

I find it funny that this GameTrailers-exclusive trailer for The Last Remnant — which is obviously also an Xbox 360 commercial — only really highlights the white dudes and gals. There’s three western-looking blondes to be shown off. Oh, and that four-armed cat guy, but he doesn’t count. No in-battle footage either. Talk about a targeted ad!

What are we supposed to get from this trailer? That there’s swords and blondes and guitars? Oh, and that the Xbox 360 is only $199 now?

The videos we shared with you yesterday do a better job of showing off the game. Today’s is just to hype you up… if you’re an American.
