D3 says Onechanbara got some graphical upgrades for its North American release

When I played the Japanese Wii version of Onechanbara Revolution, I remember thinking to myself, “This could be a fun game if it didn’t look like sh*t.” That may sound pretty rude, but the grainy, hard-to-see graphics detracted from a game that should have been a blast — after all, you play as a mostly naked chick in a bikini!

In a recent conversation with Siliconera, D3 actually talked a bit about tweaks being made to the 360 sequel, Onechanbara: Bikini Samurai Squad. D3 Consumer Business Division rep Oohashi Toshiro commented:

“…the mere thing is that the graphics are now in higher resolution in comparison to the Japanese version so we were able to implement and present something that is more visually appealing.”

Yay! Those words sound like a dream come true to me. The game is slated to be a budget title, so I knew not to expect the best, but its nice to know we won’t be getting the worst. Looking forward to this one next year!
