Although I had been keeping an eye on Valkyria Chronicles, the fact that the game was being described as a strategy RPG left me unable to commit to being fully excited for its release as I do not play SRPGs. However, after playing the demo, I found myself in love with the art style and the gameplay, which was surprisingly open-ended and unlike the majority of SRPGs I’ve seen previously (no grids!).

Christopher Kaminski, Associate Producer over at Sega of America, confirmed that the US will be getting the same DLC that has already been released in Japan, which includes an extra mission and a high difficulty Skirmish Mode. No specific date was mentioned, but Kaminski did say “early next year”, so we can’t have too long to wait.
