Custom Delights: One Winged Angel Sephiroth

While there is much argument in the gamer world about the most badass villain of all time, you’ll find Final Fantasy VII‘s Sephiroth makes it to the number one spot on quite a few lists. The hero-turned-madman made a major impact in the memories of many fans, and his popularity is still evident from the number of Sephiroth costumes you see pop up at cosplay cons around the world.

It eems obvious, then, that he should be a subject for a custom, and that is exactly what artist Ashley Hay did with the Munny you see above. I asked Ashley more about how she created this piece, and she was kind enough to share some of the details:

The hair, sword and armor was made out of WonderFlex. The WonderFlex was primed a few times, then painted with acrylic paint and spray paint. The whole Munny itself was painted with acrylic paint as well. The wing is made up of black felt and black feathers. I had all the supplies already, which usually doesn’t happen, so it took much less time then I originally thought. He took a total of 6-7 hours.

If you want one of your own, Ashley takes custom orders and is planning more Final Fantasy customs in the future, so lucky for you! Check out her website if you’d like to commission her to create the Cid of your dreams, she can help you out.
