Konami launches a MySpace music games page, contest, and DDR web game

Konami has pulled together all of their new music titles and made a MySpace page, opting for the use of game information and videos over sexily posed webcam shots and annoying classic rock tunes on autoplay. Aside from coverage on the DanceDanceRevolution, Rock Revolution, Karaoke Revolution and other titles, fans will also be able to receive special downloads like wallpapers and icons, so add Konami as a buddy.

There’s even a web browser-based online DanceDanceRevolution game available for free play. You play by using the arrow keys on the keyboard. As you can see above, I lost.

A special Rock Revolution promotional contest lets users submit an original song for a chance at inclusion within Rock Revolution for the Xbox 360 and PS3 via DLC. They will also win an all-expense paid trip to Los Angeles to record their song with the famous music production team of Dave Jerden and Bryan Carlstrom (Alice in Chains). If that wasn’t enough, they’ll also receive an Xbox 360 bundle with the game, as well as the opporutnity to appear in a RR ad in Rolling Stone magazine.
