Eyebrows have been raised in Orange Country, Florida, after a Sheriff’s Deputy allegedly took a man’s Xbox 360 from him instead of issuing a ticket. The original owner was apparently pulled over for speeding when the deputy confiscated his console, and now the Sherrif’s office is trying to explain itself.

“He said, ‘When you got your receipt and box and we’ll meet someplace, you show me your receipt and I’ll give you your game.’ I didn’t understand them,” explained  Kenyatta Hillman, who was stopped by the cop for speeding and had his car searched on suspicion of drugs. Even worse, when Hillman decided to chase this up with the police department, nobody knew what he was talking about: “They said, ‘We don’t know what is going on. It was no arrest, no police file, no case. We can’t find it.”

Hillman eventually found supervisor Sgt. Hosey. Hillman, who confirmed the system was in his possession and that he will give it back on Friday, tomorrow. It seems they were concerned that it was stolen, and I am sure that his being black had nothing to do with it.

Instead, we can only assume that Orange County cops were simply desperate to see how awesome avatars are on NXE. This would also explain why they are giving the Xbox back.
