Eternity’s Child 2 announced: Luc Bernard so good at quitting, he quits quitting

When we last heard from our old friend Luc Bernard, the outspoken designer announced that he was leaving the games industry for less stressful pastures. However, and perhaps unsurprisingly, it would seem that Bernard can’t keep away, and an Eternity’s Child 2 is going to happen.

Eternity’s Child 2: Retro Child comes from a canceled GBA version of the game which is apparently going to be released to cash in from the retrocentric love sparked by Mega Man 9. Bernard says the game will head to WiiWare and is slated for a mid 2009 release.

The game will feature play control using the Wii Remote held sideways like an NES controller. There will be all new flying/gliding moves for Angel, 2-player cooperative mode, the ability to take control of a whole host of interesting vehicles and different endings depending on how many of the winged creatures you save along the way throughout your adventure.

Bernard, who is currently working on a cartoon series, will return to game making as the producer and artist for Retro Child. He also states that the WiiWare release of Eternity’s Child is being delayed, but will return with an extra challenge mode. The game should be ready by the end of the year.

What review score do you think Retro Child will receive?
