The teen pop group Aly & AJ have revealed that they’ll be releasing their own guitar peripherals, for use with Guitar Hero and Rock Band, through PDP (Performance Designed Products). The peripherals are designed specifically with teen and tween girls in mind, and given that demographic the guitars are predicticably pink and/or heart-shaped.
Here’s the part where I expect you, a Destructoid reader, to be asking “Who and what are you talking about?”. According to Wikipedia: “Aly & AJ are a teen pop band consisting of sisters Alyson Renae “Aly” Michalka and Amanda Joy “AJ” Michalka. They were born in Torrance, California, but spent part of their childhood in Seattle, Washington. They are both actresses, singer-songwriters, and guitarists.”
We contacted our tween correspondent Taylor Tiffany to get her reaction, and were surprised to find that she’s “totally over AJ & Aly,” saying that they were “so two years ago.” She did express interest in seeing a Selena Gomez-branded drum peripheral, and, completely unprompted, called Miley Cyrus — and we quote — “a total witch skank.”
