Mech shooter War World headlining Xbox Live Arcade next week

If the name War World sounds vaguely familiar, you’re most likely thinking of the PC mech combat game that was released in 2005. Well, a little over a year ago, an XBLA port was announced but then we never really heard much about it after that.

Now, IGN tells us War World is finally ready after all this time, and it is scheduled to hit LIVE Arcade next Wednesday. While there’s no word on how much the game will cost, it’s safe to assume that it will be set at 800 Microsoft Points.

The real draw to War World will probably be its multiplayer, which allows 16 mechs to brawl at once. Combined with the fast-paced nature of the game, the online component should prove to be pretty hectic and fun.
