Halo Wars toys are like regular toys, but have green helmets: JOURNALISM!

Spartan-flavored RTS Halo Wars seems to have been in the works since the dawn of creation itself, and we’re not getting our hands on it until Spring 2009. If you’re a hardcore Halo fan though, then the long wait will give you time to save up the extra cash for these little miniature toys. See? We’re optimists at Destructoid.

Here’s the hotness on these little buggers, from Tomopop:

Microsoft Game Studios announced today the action figures that will become available at the same time as the release of the game in Spring 2009. Each Spartan soldier stands at 2.5 inches tall and will come in packs of three (posed similarly to these unpainted production samples) and will cost $10 each.

Take a look at the pictures and let us know what you think. They seem to be early shots, so I imagine they’ll look a lot nicer when finalized. While not a Halo lover myself, I can see these toys, and the game, doing quite well. People do love their Haloez.
