These three new Mirror’s Edge trailers will solidify your Faith in the game

Mirror’s Edge is one of my most highly anticipated releases in the last two and a half months or so remaining before year’s end, so I’m always hungry for some new nuggets of info on the game. Earlier this week, our very own Nick Chester spent some time with the title’s newly-revealed Time Trial mode, and it sounded like he was able to get through it pretty quickly after playing it for a while. EA sent over three brand spanking new trailers for the game, and the first one focuses on that Time Trial mode.

Those of you who have seen Casino Royale (and I hope that’s most of you) will recognize Sébastien Foucan from a breathtaking chase sequence featuring Daniel Craig’s Bond and Foucan’s bomb maker, Mollaka, that occurred early on in the film. Foucan is known as the co-founder of free running and a “second-generation” founder of parkour, so EA tapped him to promote Mirror’s Edge in the Time Trial trailer above, since free running is what the game is all about.

After the jump, you’ll find two additional trailers. The first one shows an alternate route through the “Flight” level, which — as far as I’m aware — hasn’t been shown until now. I repeatedly shook my head in disbelief at some of the ridiculously bad-ass things Faith does in the video. The second video demonstrates an alternate run-through of the “Stormdrains” level, which was first unveiled at this year’s Games Convention in Leipzig. It’s notable for showing off the game’s bullet time feature, which hasn’t really been advertised all that much up to this point.

All in all, these three videos have got me salivating for the full game, which, sadly, is still a month or so away. But its release date, November 11th, is my birthday (*hint, hint*), so I’m looking forward to the day even more! Hit up the official Web site of Mirror’s Edge for more information.
