New screenshots for Mines of Moria expansion

Turbine just released a slew of screenshots for the upcoming Lord of the Rings Online expansion, Mines of Moria. The screenshots show some of the gloomy corridors players will have to navigate through. I’m especially enjoying the vertical scale that some of these screens portray.

I got a chance to hear about some of the details for the expansion recently at Gen Con. In addition to staying true to Tolkien lore, Moria will feature a seamless landscape, tons of dramatic lighting, and a “very cool way to experience the Balrog.” Players will also be able to craft “Legendary Items,” which is sure to please fans that want their own Sting-like weapon. The expansion will be in its first playable form at PAX this year, so if you’re lucky enough to be in attendance feel free to check it out. In the meantime you can just simply stare at these screens below.
