Here’s some wholesomeness to get Wednesday off to a flavorful start. There’s no denying that one of the most notable marketing features of smash hit Kirby and the Forgotten Land was the very fun/very silly “Kirby Car” — a small, rusted, two-door sedan that gets a new lease of life after being semi-swallowed by our favorite pink puffball. Beep! Beep!

Almost immediately after the cute car debuted in trailers, it quickly and understandably became a beloved subject for fan artists and meme-makers everywhere. But this effort, from culinary genius @maaco414, (aka Manna-Tanuki), quite literally takes the cake, as they have crafted Kirby’s pint-sized vehicle into an equally pint-sized and delicious-looking dessert — It’s a Kirby Car Cake!

With a few simple ingredients, including sponge cake, cream, strawberries, cherries, mini-cookies, and some colored icing, Manna-Tanuki creates one of the most adorable cakes to ever grace an afternoon tea. Frankly, it looks too cute to eat, a sentiment clearly not shared by the cat pictured below, who is sneakily eyeing up the cream-laden treat.

Be sure to check out Manna-Tanuki’s YouTube channel for more Nintendo-themed creations, including Pokemon cookies, Bulbasaur macaroons, and much more. Delicious!

Kirby and the Forgotten Land launched exclusively on Nintendo Switch on March 25, immediately winning over critics and fans with its delightful world, colorful visuals, and amusing mechanics, which see our hero traverse a mysterious, dystopian city with the aid of his traditional “Copy” skills and his all-new “Mouthful” powers, which allow Kirby to adopt the abilities of various ordinary objects.

The first title in the series to adopt a fully-realized 3D universe, Kirby and the Forgotten Land debuted at number one in the UK Charts and is already on track to become one of, (perhaps the) best-selling Kirby releases ever.
