When Rockstar revealed first details about Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars, the promise of “tasteful” minigames was found among them. I’m not too sure if it’s considered tasteful to push weed, cocaine, acid, downers and heroin onto people for profit, but in the world of L’Brothers Houser, anything’s possible.
“We wanted to have a drug-dealing mini-game in lots of the GTA games,” stated Rockstar baron Dan Houser. “It works well with what GTA is, with driving around the map, and it gives you another thing to think about – another layer or piece of the puzzle to keep you motivated.”
Only Dan Houser could make drug dealing sound like your average everyday videogame feature. The GTA mastermind also said that tasty drugs would “intersect” with the story, but its predominant function is simply to make you pots of cash.
I think any fears that this new GTA would be controversy-free can be put to rest.
