Warhammer Online: Cut content making a (FREE) comeback

Recommended Videos

MMO and Warhammer fans were pretty upset when it was revealed that Mythic’s Warhammer Online was going to have some major features, including various cities and four character classes, removed thanks to being in a condition unsuitable for launch.

Well, it’s time to turn those frowns upside down as it’s been revealed that the cut cities will be returning as downloadable content. However, this is not paid DLC — it’s actually going to be released as part of your subscription. Here’s what Mythic general manager Mark Jacobs had to say:

“Are we going to put [the pulled content] in a paid expansion? No. What I’ve told the users point blank is that we want to give it to you as part of subscription content. We don’t have a schedule penciled in for when that will be coming, but we’re going to release it without any additional charge to players.”

Jacobs didn’t confirm whether or not the character classes were returning, but he did say they simply couldn’t make them as great as they wanted. So, either they will return with major improvements, or they were crap to begin with — we win either way. At least the Capital Cities will be returning, so MMO lovers can stem the tide of their tears for now.
