Team Ico is making a ‘really, really good’ game

Hey, there’s nothing like confidence. A user over at NeoGAF recently opened his new copy of Official PlayStation Magazine to find an interview with Sony’s Senior Vice President of Product Development, Shuhei Yoshida. Besides possessing the longest title at Sony, Yoshida has also taken an interest in Team Ico’s upcoming PlayStation 3 project. He has seen the project at work and was confident enough to say that the game is looking “really, really good.” Here’s the excerpt:

It took four years and the second game took four years too. So I started calling them the ‘Olympic Team.’ They haven’t released a PS3 title yet – of course not – they’ll take four years! But they have something really, really good on the way.

The quote was in reference to Team Ico’s previous creations and development cycles. Could Team Ico’s project be the virtual chain-climbing game we have all been expecting? Or do you think it will be something as crazy as Shadow of the Colossus? Either way, that well looks dark and scary, and that’s the kind of theme that I want from Team Ico.
