1Up today has confirmed that Halo Wars will be coming out on the Xbox 360 sometime in the first half of 2009. It’s still a ways off, but at least it’s not coming out in 2010 like people were expecting. So to tide us over, we have two new trailers for Halo Wars that you can check out after the jump.
The first trailer is an animated movie in the style of those realistic Halo movies that were released online last year. This movie details the early days of the Harvest war from the UNSC pushing back Covenant forces to getting their asses destroyed by the Covenant.
In the second trailer, we get to see more in-game footage. It’s not much, but we get to see a Wraith getting hijacked and some awesome missile strikes on Covenant forces.
Overall, pretty neat stuff. I’m a pretty huge Halo fan (like the only Halo fan on staff…) and Halo Wars is definitely on my radar. Check out the new trailers and let us know what you think of them.
