Tiny prince is tiny: New Prince of Persia: The Fallen King (DS) screens

Recommended Videos

I’m not going to pretend like the look of Ubisoft’s DS title, Prince of Persia: The Fallen King, is growing on me. Because it’s not; I’m not entirely OK with the cute, cartoony look of the game.

With that said, word on the street from those who have seen the game in action is that the title is actually pretty solid. I’m willing to give Ubisoft the benefit of the doubt; at least they didn’t try to cram a fully-3D port of their next-gen title on to Nintendo’s handheld.

The game follows a different, but related, story than the next-gen Prince of Persia title. The Prince will fight alongside an ally, but not the mysterious woman, Elika, found in the next-gen title. Instead, players will control both the Prince and a magic-wielding character called The Magus.

Sounds interesting enough, but I have to say: I’m still shaking off the Prince of Persia card battle game Ubisoft released for the DS a few years back.
