I am a fan of Grand Theft Auto. I am a HUGE fan of Ricky Gervais. Put the two together and what do you get? Pure, unbridled happiness, my friends. The politically incorrect comic will be appearing in GTA IV, sharing both his voice, and his motion capture work!
Gervais will be found in the Liberty City comedy club, where he will not only be performing material from his recent Fame tour (great show, get the DVD folks!), but three minutes of brand new stuff just for the game. Isn’t that awesome? I think that’s awesome. You should too.
“It’s a first, which always interests me,” stated Gervais. “It was shot in New York, and I got to wear a tight Lycra suit as part of the digital process. That wasn’t so good. Unfortunately they captured the whole horror, except I look slightly tougher.
I didn’t think I could be more eager to play GTA IV, but Rockstar has found a way to make this game even more of a neccessity. Well done, Rockstar. Well done indeed.
