A brief glimpse of Resi 5 gameplay

Hot off the 25th anniversary Capcom DVD that came with the latest Famitsu, the above video features plenty of Moonspeak and just a little Resident Evil 5 gameplay. Really not a huge deal to write home about but if you’re anything like me, you’ll take what sordid scraps you can get your grubby little hands on.

I think the most interesting thing is the appearance of non-monsterfied NPCs. I’m imagining a fully realized village, slowly overtaken by whatever sickness decides to introduce itself. Resident Evil games so far have only brought us to cities and towns post-disaster, so this could be the opening for some really cool experiences.

Whatever’s actually going on, it looks gorgeous and not a little terrifying. Is it just me, or is there something about the stark sunshine that makes it even creepier than usual?
